Did a screen share and they saw me purge on my iMac (10.13.3) cache in library for calendars as well as containers, then activate google apps calendar (form sys prefs / internet accounts as well as from inside the Calendar App) and watched the cache go from 600KB to 32.5MB, along the way, it was populating all items into my calendar.
